When Katie and Justin decided to trade the familiar shores of the US for the rugged, sun-drenched coastline of Crete, they knew they wanted more than just a destination wedding—they wanted an immersive experience for their 100 closest guests. Nestled in the exclusive enclave of Elounda, their celebration was a masterclass in "Mediterranean Chic," blending high-end luxury with the effortless beauty of the Aegean Sea. The Destination For Katie and Justin, Elounda wasn't just a backdrop; it was the heart of their story. From the aerial views of the peninsula to the intimate moments shared on the pier, every photo by the talented team of Skigo Wedding Stories captures the essence of a love that is as deep and timeless as the Mediterranean itself.
The floral design, meticulously crafted by Manfler, was the heart of the wedding’s visual narrative. Aiming for a look that felt both organic and incredibly polished, the team utilized a sophisticated palette of creamy whites, dusty blues, and muted sage greens. The Ceremony Grandeur: The ceremony backdrop was a true floral masterpiece. Manfler created lush, floor-to-ground installations that seemed to "grow" naturally from the stone terrace. Clusters of delphiniums provided the perfect verticality in shades of sky blue, while oversized white hydrangeas and open-bloom roses added a sense of timeless romance. This "frame" allowed the couple to exchange vows against the breathtaking Mirabello Bay without obstructing the iconic Cretan horizon. The Reception Glamour: Moving to the reception, the decor transitioned into an atmosphere of "Modern Mediterranean Luxury." The long, mirrored tables reflected the soft Cretan sunset, while low, flowing floral runners created an intimate dining experience.
